Potato Cheese Balls
I always love when I am asked to share a Recipe by my followers & this one is especially for Shweta @thebluemango when she asked me to post a Quick Easy Recipe for Potato Cheese Balls…& A Continental one 😊
I had done an Insta story asking people if they wanted any Recipe with the humble Potato which has been so crucified in recent years due to its fat content. But Potatoes have a lot of benefits that are being ignored especially by the Diet Conscious.
Although it has Fat but it only adds to your calories when had in huge amounts & fried..it is one of the best sources of potassium ; something that is so often ignored by all of us.
So do have the Poor Potato & don’t condemn it for our own abuse.
The Recipe method is shown in the pictures below followed by the detailed written Recipe !!
And now my Quick Recipe for the POTATO CHEESE BALLS
Ingredients
- 4 to 5 boiled potatoes
- Mozzarella cheese cut into small cubes
- 2 tbsp garlic paste
- 3 tbsp bread crumbs
- 2 tbsp cornflour
- 2 tbsp ketchup or Tomato Sauce
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt to taste
Method
Mash the potatoes
Add in all the ingredients except the cheese cubes
Mix well & make balls of it
Now flatten the balls in your palm into a disc, add the cheese cube & again round it up into a ball as shown in the picture
Heat oil in a non stick pan
Roll the balls in cornflour
Fry them in the hot oil till they are well browned
Sprinkle a little Italian seasoning over them when still hot
Serve immediately as that’s when you bite in them, the cheese actually pulls apart as in a pizza.
Serve them with any sauce of your choice !!
If you want to keep these balls in the fridge for a day or two, half fry them & store in an airtight container.
Also if you don’t want to fry them, brush them with olive oil & bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for 12 to 15 minutes depending on how Brown you like them.
As usual hope you enjoyed this Recipe & just like my sweet friend Shweta, ( she does some amazing desserts ) do ask me for any of your favorite Recipes !!
Be Happy & Thankful !!
