Plum Sangria Mocktail

Such a versatile & luscious seasonal fruit !!!Rich in Vitamin C, it is one tangy fruit that can be used in different ways to cook up some delectable food

But this Plum recipe is all about making into a non alcoholic “Sangria” the world famous Spanish Cocktail…

On my visit to Spain, there was Sangria everywhere of course & i just wanted to try making a non alcoholic version of it. Seeing these fresh plums in season, i thought of trying this Plum Sangria… We loved it & hope all of you will too !!!

Plums are in full season & so Fresh …so I thought of making this Mocktail which can be whipped up within minutes & tastes just amazing. It’s not only delicious but such a healthy seasonal drink to give your family or even make it for your parties. It is a sure shot to impress your guests

Plum Sangria Mocktail

Ingredients

  • 4 Fresh Plums

  • 2 cups of water

  • 1/ 2 cup sugar ( optional)

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 small piece of Cinnamon

  • 1 cup sodawater ( can add more or less)

  • 2 tbsp finely chopped apples

Directions

  • Boil the water with the sugar.

  • Once it starts boiling add the plums.

  • Let it boil for 3 to 4 mins till the skin of the plums starts peeling, switch off the gas.

  • Add the plums in cold/ ice water to stop further cooking.

  • Let the plums & sugar syrup cool.

  • Add in a blender & blend the plums with the syrup.

  • Strain the juice.

  • Add the lemon juice, cinnamon stick.

  • Keep in the fridge to cool.

  • Remove the cinnamon stick.

  • Pour the plum juice in a serving glass, add soda, the Chopped apples.

  • Garnish with a slice of lemon, a sprig of Mint.

  • Serve Chilled!!!
