Mango Chia Pudding

Its been raining MANGOES literally !! Don’t We love it? Summer is always about Our Favourite Mango !!

But with the first Rain showers, it starts to tell us that the MANGO Season is getting over & especially the Alphonso mango, which by the mid-June are not so great.

With the end of the Mango Season approaching, we need to have a Unique Recipe, right? Well, I am sharing a very Nutritious & Mouthwatering Recipe which is so cooling in this Humid Weather.

I have used CHIA seeds in this Recipe as they are full of Healthy benefits. A great coolant for the body, Chia seeds are also a great antioxidant, useful for the digestive system . Chia seeds are highly beneficial for acidity & ulcers as they naturally cool the body. Famous for being a Super Food, these tiny seeds are a great immunity booster & full of energy. They also help in weight loss & reducing the sugar levels.

The benefits of Mangoes have also been given in my former Recipes.

This Delicious Combination of Mangoes with Chia Seeds & yoghurt is a great dish to have any time of the day. I especially love to have it as a dessert as it is more Healthier than most desserts. It can also good option for breakfast because it will give you energy for the whole day.

Recipe for Mango Chia Pudding

Ingredient:

  • 1 fresh ripe Alphonso mango cut into cubes
  • 1 cup hung curd or Greek yoghurt
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp sugar or honey or stevia
  • Some Nuts like Almonds can also be added

Method:

  1. Soak the Chia Seeds in water for at least an hour till they swell up.
  2. Add sugar or honey to the yoghurt.
  3. Take a cup or a dessert glass. Firstly, add a layer of the yoghurt,
  4. Add some soaked chia seeds.
  5. Place some Mango cubes.
  6. Repeat the layers till the top of the glass.
  7. Garnish with some Mango pieces.

The Healthy Mangolicious Pudding is ready to be severed.

If you are a Vegan, simply substitute the yoghurt with thick coconut milk !!

This is one of my favourite Mango Recipes as I don’t feel guilty when I am gorging on this & I assure you won’t be guilty too as its so full of Goodness !!
