Gujarati Methi Paak Recipe

Its Winter in Mumbai like never before & How we all love this Chill in the Air.

Winter has its own Food that all housewives love to make ..I think not only India but Globally also every housewife has to have a favorite Recipe which she will feed her family to keep them warm.

In Gujarat, we have tons & tons of special Winter food that is lovingly prepared by Grandmothers & Mothers for the family. In the older days, all the women of the family would get together & make the Winter Delicacies like Adadiya Paak, Gundar na laadva, Methi Paak, Khajur Paak & so many more, which would then be distributed to the entire family along with neighbors & friends.

Today I will be posting my favorite Methi Paak as it is not only good for Winter but also very good for overall Health & Nutrition as it has Methi seeds / Fenugreek seeds powder which is our very own ( totally unrecognized & underrated ) Superfood.

Methi Paak

Methi seeds have been used in our Country since ages & the advantages are manifold indeed. Daily consumption of Methi seeds is great for the digestive system, it also enhances your skin & hair, is great to be used by diabetics as well as prediabetics. Also great for weight loss & metallic rate, it is a favorite with the ladies ( my fave too 😊)

Last year I had posted the Gundar na laadva Recipe

which had been loved by all. So this year I thought of posting this Quick & Easy Recipe of Methi Paak as most of the time it is not made thinking it is too difficult.

This Recipe also uses Khadi Sakar or Rock Sugar as it is more Healthy than the regular sugar & is widely used in Ayurveda. It has its own advantages which we will discuss in detail in the future.

We have a saying in Gujarat ” Siyala Ma Methi Paak khau ne taja Maja thau ” meaning have a piece of Methi Paak every day & get good health through the year !!

Although a little bitter on the bite, it is simply Delicious.
