A Global SuperFood… AVOCADO !!!
I usually post Recipes using local ingredients which are readily available & with ingredients which are more affordable & seasonal.
But I got some requests asking me to post some Avocado Recipes especially by young women so i thought of posting this quick Easy Recipe for the Girls ❤️
Avocado is known as a SuperFood as its rather unique… it is high in Healthy Fats & so is a favourite with the Ketogenic Diet. The fruit has some incredible nutritional benefits, has a great flavour & texture .
It is loaded with a wide variety of different vitamins & minerals… Has higher Potassium than bananas thus helps stabilise blood pressure levels, is great for the heart, loaded with fiber so helps in Weightloss. It is also a powerful antioxidant & metabolism booster.
This is just a short summary of the many benefits of this fruit which although is not native to India but is available in plenty now with all the local vendors because of its popularity.
It is also used in preparing Guacamole, a Mexican dip that is so famous world over !!
This Recipe is also a great dish to prepare when you are on a Weightloss & Fitness Journey.
Now this Super Delicious Recipe of
FRUITY AVOCADO TOAST
- Bread of your choice — White, Brown, Whole Wheat, Multigrain …
- 1 ripe Avocado
- 1 orange
- 1 Firm ripe pomegranate
- 2 tbsp Honey or Maple syrup
- Chopped Walnuts
- Coarse Sea salt to garnish
Method for FRUITY AVOCADO TOAST
Toast the bread slices , brown it as much as you like ( i like mine well browned & crusty)
Cut the ripe Avocado by putting a cut in the middle & destone it.
Slice the avocado into medium size for the first toast & mash it for the second one.
Peel the orange, segment it & slit in between.
Deseed the pomegranate.
Now to assemble everything, take your plate.
Place one Toast on it, apply a little butter, place the avocado slices, then the orange segments & then add the chopped walnuts.
Now drizzle some honey or maple syrup, sprinkle some sea salt.
Now take another Toast, apply the mashed avocado mixed with some salt, pepper & lime juice
Add the pomegranate seeds & Almonds
Again Drizzle with honey or maple syrup
The Delicious FRUITY AVOCADO TOAST
You can substitute any fruit of your choice instead of the orange & pomegranate if you like but citrus fruits taste the best.
This is a favourite Breakfast of mine especially when I have a long day ahead as it keeps me Energised & Running all day long !!…
