COUSCOUS IN COTTAGE CHEESE GRAVY

Hi folks, here follows the recipe of INDIAN STYLE COUSCOUS IN COTTAGE CHEESE GRAVY

Couscous in Cottage Cheese Gravy

You NEED

For the GRAVY

  1. 4 onions paste
  2. 5 to 6 cloves garlic mashed
  3. Small piece of ginger crushed
  4. 1 tsp of kasoori methi powder
  5. 2 tsp olive oil / any other of choice
  6. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  7. Salt to taste
  8. 1 big cup curd/ yoghurt beaten well
  9. 250g paneer /cottage cheese cut in cubes
  10. I cup couscous prepared with 2 cups of water
  11. Freshly cut coriander

PROCEDURE

Heat oil in a pan, add first d garlic n ginger n sauté well for 3min then add d red chilli powder, salt n sauté again for 2 min, then add d onion paste n sauté well for about 5 mins till u get a lovely aroma, u can add more chilli powder if u like it spicy,  add d beaten yoghurt n mix well till d oil separates, that shows that yr gravy is ready lastly sprinkle kasoori methi powder n mix well for about 2 min n turn off d heat

Mix paneer /cottage cheese when u want to serve n heat d gravy first n then add d paneer so that it doesn’t break

For the couscous,  Heat 2 cups of water, add a little oil or butter n when it boils add d couscous n switch off the gas n cover it for about 10 to 15 mins,  when it’s done separate the grains properly with a fork so that it becomes fluffy

To serve,  Take a flat bottom bowl n first spread d couscous,  then add d paneer in d gravy n spread it over d couscous n garnish it with fresh green coriander
