Chocolate Nutella Cupcakes

My Brother has been my Guinea pig since childhood when he would taste every single dish I made, whether good or Bad. He would give me his true opinion which is going on till date & the tradition is being followed by my two Adorable Nephews.

On this Special Day, I am going to share My Brother’s Favourite.

How to Make Chocolate Nutella Cupcakes


  1. 2 cups Self Raising Flour
  2. 1 cup Maida/ All purpose flour
  3. 1/2cup cocoa powder
  4. 3/4 cup butter softened
  5. 2 cups castor sugar
  6. 1 cup yoghurt
  7. 1/2 cup milk
  8. 1tsp baking soda
  9. 2 TSP Vanilla extract


Preheat oven to 200°C.

Mix the Self Raising Flour, Maida, Cocoa powder, Baking soda & keep aside.

Take a bowl, add the butter, Whisk.

Add the sugar, whisk until till resembles breadcrumbs.

Add the vanilla extract, yoghurt, whisk again.

Add the flour mixture & milk alternately little by little till it is all used up.

Your batter is ready.

Line a muffin tray with Cupcake Liners.

Add the batter into the liners just Up to half as you don’t want the batter to ooze out while baking.

Bake for 25 minutes … Make sure that you check after 20 minutes as the baking of every oven differs, when a knife comes out clean then your Cupcakes are ready.


Allow them to cool completely before frosting them.

How to Make Chocolate Nutella Frosting



  1. 1/2 cup butter softened
  2. 1 cup icing sugar
  3. 1/4 cup NUTELLA
  4. 1/4 cup Cocoa powder
  5. 2 to 3 TSP milk


Whisk the butter, add the Nutella, mix well.

Add the cocoa powder, whisk.

Add the sugar, whisk well till it is all mixed.

Add 2 to 3 TSP of milk & whisk well & the consistency of the frosting should be smooth.

Take a cupcake & spread the frosting on top with a palette knife.

You can even use a piping bag if you wish.



Decorate with some colourful sprinklers or some golden sugar balls to make them look Festive.
